    Terms and Conditions: Half of the tuition to be paid prior to the commencement of the workshop in order to confirm a place in the class. The Final Payment must be paid on the third week of the cycle. If the student indicates a decision to terminate attendance WITHIN five (5) working days prior to commencement of the workshop, all fees paid to that point will be forfeited. Once a student makes a down-payment on the tuition and opts out of the program having started, the outstanding balance is still due and must be paid.

Cancellation Policy

The organizer reserves the right to cancel events wholly or in part in case of an insufficient number of participants, program cancellations, organizational reasons, changes of availability of speakers, force majeure or other unforeseeable events that render the execution of the event impossible and/or not worthwhile or that would lead to the organizer incurring unreasonable expenses in executing the event. The organizer shall immediately inform participants of such changes.

Should an event be cancelled by the organizer for organizational reasons or as a result of force majeure, as outlined above, the organizer will refund the event fee in full. Claims for further liabilities or damages are excluded. Participants may not assert any further claims and any such claims shall be excluded. This also applies to compensation claims for travel and accommodation costs and lost working hours.

    • Familiarity with the local codes and standards: TTS171: PART 1 2015 & T&TEC Wiring for Light & Power. • Single Phase and Three Phase Power calculations. • Cable sizing, referencing, applying de-rating factors and voltage drop. • Understanding cable type (armoured, single-single, ECC) and accessories, sizing and its application • Conduit System design, installation. • Feeder and Sub-circuit distribution. • Circuit Directories • Grounding and Bonding application. • Transformers wiring and application. • Generator & ATS installation requirements. • Inspections and Testing of Final System. • Understanding safety requirements in low voltage systems. • Health & Safety • Inspection Fees and Inspectorate requirements/expectations

  • How will this workshop change or benefit you?

    In accordance with the law of the land, Chapter 54:72, an Electrician must be licensed and therefore write an exam at the Government Electrical Inspectorate, pass and then be issued a license. This program will ensure the Electrician is better prepared with the knowledge base to write and pass the exam on their first attempt, more importantly, able to apply themselves in the exam and in the electrical field with the material presented.

    Contractors/Engineers/Electricians seeking to acquire their Wireman License for promotion, personal development.

  • Is there any prior knowledge required?

    Diploma in Electrical Installation from City and Guilds or Diploma in Electrical Installation from National Examination Council (NEC) or Degree in Electrical and Electronics.

  • What are the technical / resource requirements?

    Copy of the TTS-171 Low Voltage Handbook (Provided) and Copy of the T&TEC Light & Power Handbook (Provided)

  • How is the course structured?

    The course is 21 hours (7 sessions x 3 hours per session). At the end of the course, students are given two (2) weeks to study the material with a mock exam to determine the student’s readiness for the exam. Additionally, students will be given a project to submit within a 2 week period.
